We would like to inform you about a new banking Trojan (computer virus) that has been in the news recently. Please read the Trojan / Spyware Protection Tips to ensure that you are doing everything you can to maintain the security of your account.

Spyware is software installed on computers, usually from the net, to steal your personal and financial information. Here's how to protect yourself.

Stay updated
Always make sure you have the latest anti-virus software installed.

Be private
Open 'Private Browsing' on your internet browser to logon to sites such as Online Banking.


Only bank from a protected computer
If you are using the same computer for Online Banking and for downloading free movies and songs, you can be at high risk of a virus or malware. Always access Online Banking from a well-protected computer.

Close the Torrent danger

Uninstall Peer-to-Peer (P2P) applications, such as Bittorrent and Utorrent if you don't have the latest antivirus software.

Don't get spammed
Never click the links in pop-up windows or the links in spam mail.


Beware of free trials
Never click on free trial security software. Also only download free software from trusted sites.

  

Get the warning
Change your browser settings to warn you before downloading any file.
